Questions

The ones I actually get asked. If yours is not here, ask me — the answer is free too.

Before we start

I know nothing about websites, design or tech. Can I still work with you?

Yes — that is who I usually work with.

You are an expert in what you do. You do not also need to become one in this. I ask about your business in plain language, and handle the rest.

I do not have a website yet. Is that a problem?

It is easier, not harder. Starting from nothing means the structure, the text and the search work get planned together instead of being retrofitted onto something that was not built for them.

I already have a website. Can you improve it instead of replacing it?

Sometimes. I look at the structure, the content and the technical state first, then tell you which is cheaper — fixing or rebuilding. Some sites are built on foundations where fixing costs more than starting again.

That assessment is part of the free check-up. It costs nothing either way.

You have not worked in my industry. Can you still do this?

Yes. You understand your business; I understand how machines read it. Those two things together are enough.

What clients look for differs in every trade. That part I ask you about. How a search engine or an AI assistant reads a page does not differ by trade — that part is mine.

If you have particular things you want said, send me your own text. That is often the better way round: nobody knows your field the way you do. My job is then to make sure a machine can read it, understand what it is about, and quote it — rather than skip past it.

Before anything is written I check which words people in your field actually search for. Not a guess — the data.

What do I need to prepare?

Two things, and neither takes long: answers to eight questions about your business, and a few photos if you have them.

If you do not have photos, say so — that is a solvable problem, not a blocker.

Price and payment

Is €699 really one-time? Do I pay again next year?

Yes, one-time. The build is paid once and the site is yours.

The only thing that recurs is the domain and hosting. The first year is included in the €699. From the second year you either pay the registrar and host directly, or take the €119 “stay online only” plan and I take care of it.

Care and growth plans are optional. Nothing renews unless you choose it.

How does payment work?

Once the scope is agreed we sign a short service agreement. The build is paid in two instalments: the first before work begins, the balance once the preview is ready. The amounts are in the quotation, and the quotation comes before you commit to anything.

Monthly plans are billed monthly. Annual plans are paid once.

Do the monthly plans have a minimum term?

No. Pay monthly, stop whenever you like — just tell me five working days before the current period ends.

Annual plans can be stopped early too: I deduct the months already used at the monthly rate, subtract any campaign pages already delivered, take a 10% handling fee, and return the rest. I would rather keep you with results than with a contract.

While it is built

Do I have to write the text myself?

No — but you are welcome to, and often it is better.

You know your field; I do not. If you send me your own text, I structure it so that readers and machines can both follow it, and so the parts worth quoting can be quoted.

If you would rather not write, I will draft it from what you tell me about your services and your clients. Either way you get two rounds of revisions to make it sound like you.

Can you connect a booking system?

Yes. The simplest version is a form on your site that sends the request straight to your inbox — no monthly fee, no platform commission, and the enquiry belongs to you.

If you already use a scheduling tool, it can usually be embedded instead.

After launch

Who owns the domain and the website?

You do. The domain is registered in your name, the site is yours, and you get the admin login at handover.

If you ever want to move to someone else, you take everything with you. Nothing is held on my account, and there is nothing to unlock.

Can I get small changes done after launch?

You can make them yourself — you get the admin panel and an illustrated guide, and changing text or a photo takes a minute.

If you would rather not, the Website Care plan covers three small changes a month (a phone number, a photo, a paragraph — not new pages or a redesign). Larger work is quoted separately.

Will I show up on Google as soon as the site goes live?

I submit the site for indexing on launch day, but the timing is Google's, not mine.

In practice a new site is usually crawled within a few days to a few weeks, and a search for your own business name is the first thing to start working. Google states plainly that it cannot predict or guarantee when a URL will be indexed — anyone who promises you a date is guessing.

Ranking for the words your clients actually search takes longer than that. See below.

What to expect

Can you guarantee customers?

No, and neither can anyone else honestly.

What I can do is make sure that when someone searches for what you offer, there is something for a search engine and an AI assistant to find, read and trust. That is a precondition, not a promise.

What you can hold me to is the work itself, and to showing you the numbers: what you were shown for, what people clicked, what arrived through the site.

How much traffic can I expect, and how soon?

I do not give a number, because anyone who does is inventing it.

What I can tell you is the shape of it: brand-name searches start working first, within weeks. The words that bring people who have never heard of you take months, and they build rather than jump.

You will see the real figures either way — the reports show what actually happened, not a projection.

Do you only work on Google?

Google carries most of the search traffic in Austria — around 82% — so it gets most of the attention. But the work itself is not Google-specific.

Clear structure, business details that match everywhere, and content that answers a real question are what Bing, DuckDuckGo and the AI assistants read too. Doing it properly once covers all of them; there is no separate job per platform.

Why does it matter whether an AI assistant can read my site?

Because a growing share of people ask instead of searching, and an answer names two or three businesses rather than listing ten.

A search result page has a tenth position. An answer does not. If a machine cannot read your site well enough to be confident about you, it will name someone it can.

How are you different from a regular web designer or an SEO freelancer?

Most services stop at one end or the other: the site gets finished, or the rankings get worked on. Handing those to two people means neither owns the result.

I do both as one piece of work, and I measure it. You get one person who knows what was built, why it was built that way, and what the numbers did afterwards.
